Callie Opie’s Orchard – Wyatt Michael & His Band

Wyatt Michael & His Band

A Homecoming

Local favorite Wyatt Michael takes a break from his shows in Las Vegas, his home away from home, and revisits Callie Opie’s Orchard Restaurant for his first performance there in three years. Since leaving Fredericksburg a year ago, Wyatt has succeeded in establishing himself as a recording artist, in-demand nightclub entertainer, and celebrated crooner, specializing in that vast body of musical compositions referred to as “The Great American Songbook.” Wyatt gained international attention when he was featured on season 21 of “The Voice,” during which he turned the chairs of both Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande during the Blind Auditions stage.

Wyatt is joined by Konrad Paszkudzki, a jazz pianist raised in Western Australia by Polish parents, whose passion for American swing jazz emerged early.  He moved to the United States in 2009 on scholarship to the University of Miami, earning his master’s degree in 2011. After performing in Los Angeles with the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and the Jeff Hamilton Trio, Konrad moved to New York City in 2012 to lead the house trio at the renowned venue 54 Below.

The band also includes a regular at Callie Opie’s: the eclectic, electric guitarist Bruce Middle, a Virginia native who also made Fredericksburg his home.  Along with the group’s regular bassist, Richmond’s own Emre Kartari is featured on drum set and incidental percussion.
