Guitar Summit II, November 2022

Steve Herberman and Chris Whiteman returned to Lake Anna Winery for the second annual rematch of their virtuoso guitar skills, backed by bassist Paul Langosch and percussionist Emre Kartari on Saturday evening, November 12th.

Spanglish, November 2022

Elle Jay and the versatile instrumentalists of Spanglish brought an evening of Latin Jazz, Pop, Salsa, and much more to the crowd on the dance floor and the others relaxing in the Event Barn at Callie Opie’s Orchard Restaurant on Friday evening, November 4th.

Pro-Am Jazz Jamm, October 2022

On October 21st, The Cooling Pond Brewery and Winery opened its tasting room for a Friday night jazz jam session, welcoming local musicians to improvise and entertain the patrons. This event occurs on the third Friday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m.

Lake Anna Jazz Fest, September 2022

Tina Hashemi & Friends

Four extraordinary musicians collaborated for the first time on Saturday, September 17th as vocalist Tina Hashemi led a band consisting of Chris Whiteman on guitar, along with bassist Paul Langosch and drummer Emre Kartari.

Chris Whiteman Trio

Versatile and nuanced guitarist Chris Whiteman brought Labor Day Weekend to a close by performing on Sunday, September 4th with bassist Paul Langosch and drummer Emre Kartari.

Gypsy Roots

Thomas Wakefield led his five-piece band, Gypsy Roots, in an evening of mesmerizing music on Saturday evening, September 3rd, stylishly blending European gypsy influences with contemporary jazz and pop tunes.

Dixie Power Trio

On Saturday night, 08/20/2022, The Dixie Power Trio visited Pleasants Landing for a twilight concert of music on the park’s outdoor stage, overlooking Lake Anna. The group has been a longtime favorite of audiences from Washington to Richmond, and Zack Smith has perfected their reputation as masters of Louisiana’s musical heritage.

Zack was accompanied by Chuck Underwood (guitar), Andy Kochenour (bass), and Byron McWilliams (drums).

The Bruce Middle Band

Bruce brought his band’s mix of jazz-rock, blues, gypsy, R&B, and original tunes to the outdoor stage on July 23rd.

It was a beautiful, hot July afternoon until the band whipped up such a storm that the audience was literally “blown away.”

A French Twist on American Jazz

Music lovers from Lake Anna welcomed French singer Veronika Rodriguez along with French band leader and musician Jean-Philippe Vidal to Callie Opie’s Orchard on July 16th.

The duo was joined by Steve Herberman (guitar), Ginny Carr Goldberg (piano), Paul Langosch (bass), and Kevin Gaines (drums).

Lake Anna Jazz Fest 2022

A variety of musical groups, consisting of more than 50 talented players, came to Lake Anna to perform at the Cooling Pond Brewery outdoor stage on the 18th and 19th of June.
