Tina Hashemi is a vocalist, arranger, and band leader who stormed onto the east coast music scene in 2022 and immediately became a favorite collaborator of the seasoned musicians she works with in her home state of Virginia. Her onstage appearances in the last two years have led her to partnerships with well-known jazz instrumentalists and brought her to the attention of critics who describe her voice as “lilting lightning” and recognize her as “a brilliant, rising star in the jazz firmament.”
Tina is a frequent performer in night clubs and performance venues in major east coast cities, but concentrates her work close to home, appearing most often in Charlottesville, Richmond, and Washington, D.C. She has received public accolades, won praise in the media, been named a finalist in the 2024 Ella Fitzgerald jazz vocal competition, and was selected to appear with her quartet at this year’s Lake Anna Jazz Fest in September.
Her current tour includes a debut at Blues Alley in Washington D.C. on April 14th. We’re thrilled that she’s making a stop at Everleigh Vineyards & Brewing Company just three days earlier. Take this opportunity to hear her in person and save the cost of a trip to Blues Alley!
Ms. Hashemi will be accompanied by bandmates Ayinde Williams (piano), Jimmy Trussell (bass), and Aaron Binder (drums).
